Environmental management policy

We at the CGP group pay special attention to environmental care. We want to do something for a better tomorrow because we are aware that nature will be grateful to us. To live in a natural and healthy environment is a basic human right. Managing a business in line with a responsible attitude to the environment means long-term success for us all. We are aware that we effect the environment with every movement of materials and use of energy.

The CGP group wants to be an ecologically-oriented and environmentally-friendly company.  An established system of environmental management is incorporated in all business functions and organisational units of the company and all fields of its activity: engineering projects, building construction, investment engineering, road and watercourse maintenance as well as the production of building materials and other products.

All employees accept the responsibility to act in line with the SIST EN ISO 14001: 2005 standard requirements, fulfil the obligations of current Slovenian and EU legislation as well as other commitments adopted by the Group.

We also accept the following responsibilities for the future:

• to include the goals from the field of environmental management in our development strategy, annual plans including measures, carriers and deadlines with a view to continually reducing our negative impact on the environment;
• to recognise and monitor environmental aspects, measure environmental indicators and adequately respond in the event of any discrepancies or deviations;
• to constantly improve the system of environmental management and decrease negative impacts on the environment;
• to pay greater attention to the development of environmentally-friendly construction materials and products as well as substitute dangerous substances with less dangerous ones and limit the use of pollutants;
• to systematically cut emissions by investing in different state-of-the-art technology and pursue the efficient use of energy products and water;
• to systematically collect and recycle construction waste;
• to carry out appropriate environmental protection training and raise awareness among the employees about responsibilities to their working and wider environments;
• to co-operate with interested internal and external parties; and
• to periodically inform our employees about the results of environmental assessments.

The environmental policy is a public document that is available to the wider public.
